Mental activity is accompanied by a complex of reactions of various organism systems: changes of slow electric activity of the brain, muscle tone, rhythm and depth of respiration, heart rate. The measuring diagnostic complex is developed, researches of reactions in cardiorespiratory system during real (the decision of chess problems) intellectual activity and at the decision of arithmetic tasks are carried out. Individually-typological features of the person have decisive importance in implementation of systemic reactions of an organism on a mental task. Individuality of reaction allows doing a number of practical conclusions.

Musculoskeletal system disorders show up the best in the human moving process, whereas most medical diagnostic systems in this area are guided by the data obtained from the survey of people in a static position. This article describes the results of the possibility of using accelerometers for measure the human legs movement research and the various options for mounting measuring devices with accelerometers on the human body in order to obtain valid data on the legs movement analysis, on which basis can be made a full diagnosis of the human musculoskeletal system, state.

Gataulin Ya. A., Yuchnev A. D., Popov M.A., Kurapeev D. I. Numerical simulation of blood flow in common carotid artery with S-shaped tortuosity


Based on CT-data mathematical model of blood flow in common carotid artery (CCA) with S-shaped tortuosity is developed. Blood flow in CCA is modeled as incompressible viscous flow and Xavier—Stokes equations are solved. Vessel wall is considered as rigid. On inlet boundary of CCA physiological flow rate curve, taken from PC-MRA, is established. Meanwhile, model is still underdetermined, because velocity profile on inlet is unknown. Two inlet velocity profiles are examined - flat and parabolic. Zones with low values of wall shear stress and high oscillatory shear index, predisposed to atherogenesis, are found.

For creation of systems of screening diagnostics of socially significant diseases it is offered to use the in­formative signs received by the analysis of volt-ampere characteristics of biologically active points. It is proved that the model of the volt-ampere characteristic of a bio-material can be received on the basis of a hypothesis of reversible breakdown of dielectric by means of cascade connection of diode and resistive cells. It is offered as informative signs in diagnostic systems to use coefficients of the polynoms approximating volt-ampere characteristics of biologically active points. Approximating polynoms for the volt-ampere characteristics removed from the active points most available biologically are investigated. It is shown that for adequate approximation of the volt-ampere characteristic of biologically active point the model in the form of a polynom of the seventh order is sufficient. The three-layer model of structure of the neural network, used for this purpose is developed.

Prospects of receiving three-dimensional models of separate teeth and dentitions by means of laser scanning system are shown. Mathematical model of the scanner with a moving scanning head is considered. Results of calculations of real system on a basis of mathematical model are given. Efficiency of a method of image acquisition by means of a working prototype of scanning system is shown.

The paper presents a statistical analysis of the results of measurement and calculation of parameters of micro-circulation of blood obtained in vivo by laser Doppler flowmetry, tissue reflectance oximetry and pulse oximetry. It is presented the analysis of the data and also analysis of the influence of the field of research and individual characteristics of a physiological variation to the measured and the complex parameters of microcirculation of blood.

Metrology in Biomedical Engineering

Kozyura A. W., Podmasterjev K. W. Electrocardio-graphic records quality assessment using empirical mode decomposition


Proposed method of electrocardiographs records quality assessment, based on empirical mode decomposition and machine learning methods. Suggested by authors quality metrics in conference with classifier based on decision trees ensemble can classify records on four-grade scale with 85,7 % precision.
